FULL YACHT CHARTER REVIEW

Inspected by Us.

Can holiday plans exceed expectations, even for guests with high standards? It highly depends on the location, but if you book BINA yacht charter with SuperYachts Croatia, you and your charter party are guaranteed a once-in-a-lifetime experience, cruising in the vast beauty of the Croatian Adriatic sea.

Consider all the possibilities that become a reality when you book a 42-meter yacht made in Italy; since the Italians are considered to have originated luxury yachting as a concept, it is normal to expect only the best results, and BINA yacht charter wholeheartedly delivers on all of them.

BINA was built in 2006 by Mondomarine, she underwent regular maintenance and refits, with the last one being in 2019. She is able to offer accommodations for 12 guests total, who will be allocated in one of 5 cabins, spread across 2 decks. The cabins are arranged as one master suite, 2 VIP cabins and 2 twin cabins (with pullman berths).

A total of 10 crewmembers will always be on at the service of the charter guests, making sure they are comfortable and satisfied with all the aspects of their Croatian yacht vacation.

Since she is a modern yacht with more than sufficient length, BINA yacht charter offers some unique amenities and features to her charter guests, like a fully-equipped gym or a sundeck jacuzzi.

You can choose to stay active on your charter vacation by using the gym with a hired professional trainer, solo or with the help of your crew or charter party members; working out while being surrounded by the beauty of the Croatian Adriatic sea is really something that motivates sports enthusiast to reach new levels of fitness. Afterwards, when you have sufficiently raised your temperature, jump straight into the sea and enjoy the instant cooling and rejuvenating effect of the Croatian Adriatic.

When it comes to entertainment, BINA yacht charter can offer multiple options for guests looking to put a little fun and excitement into their charter itinerary, especially when it comes to planning entertainment for the evening.

This primarily goes for the karaoke setup, which transforms the outdoor part of the upper deck into a stage/ dance podium, where guests can sing, dance and have a good laugh at the different interpretations of “Dancing Queen” or “Don’t Stop Me Now”.

The sky lounge also holds a 60” flat screen television and plenty of comfortable sofas, ensuring a rich potential for movie nights with your charter party. Also, the sky lounge bar will be the perfect location where you will get your drink topped off, at any time of day or night or just swap out the snack tray for something fruity or healthy.

BINA yacht charter can develop a comfortable cruise speed of 14 knots, and a maximum speed of 16 knots, which is a major accomplishment for a yacht of her size. Her agility allows her to provide charter guests with a versatile charter itinerary, with an equal amount of cruising between beautiful locations and staying anchored in secluded bays.

When BINA yacht charter moves from one location to another and then anchors, the guests onboard will not even feel the difference between standing on solid ground and standing on a moving yacht, thanks to the underway and at-anchor stabilization systems present on BINA.

A DAY ON THE YACHT

Booking BINA yacht charter will be one of the best holiday decisions you have ever made, and SuperYachts Croatia will be more than willing to create a bespoke experience for you and your charter party. After a full week spent cruising in the northern part of the Croatian Adriatic sea, you will feel rejuvenated and relaxed as you have not been in years, and all the members of your charter party will be able to say the same thing; a yacht holiday in Croatia is the closest thing travellers can come to visiting paradise.

You will probably be more than familiar with your itinerary because you will have gone over it countless times with your friends and family, as well as the broker from SuperYachts Croatia. Using his local know-how and excellent connections in naval and maritime institutions and marinas all across the Adriatic, he will be able to guarantee an exclusive service to every guest.

Counting the days backwards, your first day of vacation in Croatia might start by boarding BINA yacht charter in the busy harbour of Pula. Pula is the regional capital of the Istrian peninsula, one of the most enchanting locations on the Croatian Adriatic coast. This place has it all: natural beauty, historic value and excellent cuisine, tied with a ribbon of modern nautical facilities and amenities that make a regular holiday stand out and be remembered as unique for the rest of your life.

Once you have sufficiently toured all the major attractions in Pula, including the Roman amphitheatre known as the Arena, as well as other numerous roman remains and ruins, board BINA yacht charter and visit the first location of your yacht holiday: the incredible Brijuni National Park.

Considered to be one of Croatia`s most cherished possessions, Brijuni are known as a major hotspot for high-end tourism, offering everything a luxury holiday should entail; plenty of facilities, inlaid between versatile and beautiful landscapes and picture-perfect beaches.

With a ZOO, a golf course and an archaeological park, as well as pristine and untouched nature, Brijuni National Park gives all the reasons why yacht enthusiasts should sleep at anchor and experience this enchanting location in the evening also.

Waking up refreshed and ready to continue your holiday, cruise away from Brijuni on your second day and move up the east coast of the Istrian peninsula until reaching Opatija This marvellous township has built a reliable reputation as being a hotspot for exclusive vacations and high-end service. Her reputation even goes as far as being recognized by the Austro-Hungarian royalty as a place where they spent their winters in the 20th century, taking advantage of the fresh sea air and healing potential of the climate.

When mass tourism began to emerge in the Adriatic, Opatija developed a profile as a yacht port for the nearby Rijeka harbour, which handles all the major nautical traffic in this part of the Northern Adriatic.

Opatija has several distinct advantages as a location; you can enjoy its wonderful high-end facilities, like exclusive restaurants, wellness centres and clubs, or experience the wonderful nature surrounding it.

This could mean a day trip to the nearby Učka Nature Park and enjoying the view of the incredible Kvarner gulf, while experiencing the pristine nature of the Opatija hinterlands and mountains, as well as the nearby Istrian peninsula.

Once you are back on the water, BINA yacht charter can swing eastwards and cruise around the island of Krk, reaching the historic town of Krk. Here, you will be exposed to centuries of culture and tradition, that made this stone city a formidable strategic point in controlling the passage of ships and goods across the northern Adriatic for the entirety of the medieval era.

Experience the unique atmosphere of Krk town in the evening, and walk on its stone streets, taking in the sights, sounds and scents of resurrected times amongst its sturdy walls. Watch artisans craft unique souvenirs on the streets, while musicians and entertainers capture the imaginations of passersby.

Take in the fine cuisine and excellent wine and olive oil on the island, before cruising to Cres island the next day. On route to Cres, you stopped on the small island of Plavnik, to enjoy unimaginable privacy and secludedness. With Plavnik offering a chance to rest, you arrive to Cres, more than excited of experiencing all the treasures and beauty of this elongated island.

With its incredible port towns full of history, and undisturbed nature in form of secluded bays flanked by pine forests, as well as a vast salt lake and countless dirt trails leading to quiet coves and sand beaches, Cres was everything you hoped for, but for the first time, you noticed that time had begun to slip away from you, meaning that your Croatian yacht holiday was slowly coming to an end.

And what better way to say goodbye to Croatia than to come full circle, with only several stops before returning to Pula, and finally disembarking BINA yacht charter for the season? On your return journey to Pula, the island of Lošinj will present a chance to experience a widely recognized therapeutical hot spot among frequent visitors to the northern Croatian Adriatic sea, thanks to the subtle, but enduring healing effect of its pristine nature.

The pleasant aromas of lavender, combined with the faint scents of cypress and a dominant note of sea salt and fresh sea air makes spending time around Lošinj a vacation for the entire respiratory system, while the clean water and the hot sun help to sweat out toxins, replenishing the body and rejuvenating the mind of visitors.

There are two main settlements on the island, Mali Lošinj and Veli Lošinj, as well as countless vineyards, olive groves and fig gardens. When it comes to beaches on Lošinj, Veli Žal beach is one of the most famous stretches of coastline on Lošinj island, located near the Sunčana Uvala bay, near the centre of Veli Lošinj. A pine forest provides plenty of shade, with a blue flag guaranteeing the cleanliness and health of the water and surrounding area.

Among the more famous beaches, there are also Čikat bay and Silver Bay, both accessible to yachts and providing a sheltered anchorage.

Between stopping in private bays and enjoying lunch on BINA yacht charter and creating unique memories with your charter party using the water toys provided on your superyacht charter, there are also other fun things to see and experience, when spending time on Lošinj island.

One of the most interesting monuments in Lošinj is the Apoxyomenos statue, found in the waters surrounding the island. The sculpture, which shows a male athlete scrubbing oil and sand after an Olympic bout, is regularly showcased in the island`s museum, as well as on tours of the Croatian mainland; there is even a reproduction of the statue, which can be found in a unique underwater museum, available for divers and snorkelers curious about what it is like to find archaeological remains at the bottom of the sea.

There is also the Lošinj Culinary festival, which begins every May and attracts foodies from all around the Mediterranean. Local specialities are displayed, showcasing with pride their great dedication to culture and tradition, by using recipes passed down from one generation to the next, regardless of the ingredients used.

Also, it is possible to enjoy dolphin watching from the deck of BINA yacht charter, by cruising towards the western coast of Lošinj, to the area known as Kvarnerić. It is the Adriatic`s dolphin natural habitat and a permanent birthing ground, so a good glimpse of a dolphin is nearly guaranteed if you come at the right time.

After you experience all of these wonderful things on Lošinj, it is time for the last leg of the journey, the return to Pula. During this somewhat lengthier cruise, you can sit and reflect on all of the incredible things you have witnessed during your Croatian yacht holiday. Stare into the horizon and say farewell, because, after such an extensive and all-encompassing experience, you are sure you will want to book BINA yacht charter for the next charter season in Croatia.

YACHT CHARTER DINING

Dining aboard BINA yacht charter will be one of the highlights of your holiday in Croatia. This is because the chef can adhere to your every wish and taste, but also mix in a little of traditional Croatian cooking, so you could taste what you see, feel and experience every day.

You can enjoy dishes like grilled Adriatic tuna steak with spicy green papaya, confit duck legs with a cardamom, orange and ginger glaze or roasted rack of lamb with local olive oil and grilled vegetables. For dessert, enjoy honey and cinnamon pannacotta with poached pear.

Because the Croatian Adriatic sea is so clean and healthy, all of the seafood from its waters is edible, and if you have taken a liking to the beautiful turquoise Adriatic, you will simply love all the fresh seafood bounties that will be presented to you and your charter party aboard BINA yacht charter.

Also, you do not have to restrict yourself to sampling only bounties from the sea. Thankfully, all of Croatia is fruitful and can supply a yacht charter dining menu for a whole week, without eating the same dish twice. This is thanks to her ideal geographical position, allowing for the cultivation of many different fruit and vegetable sorts, primarily grapes and olives, but also figs, lemons, watermelons, limes and pomegranates. There is also the more continental produce, like oranges, pears and apples.

In the forests and coastal hinterlands of Croatia, chestnuts, mushrooms and forest fruits grow in abundance, but especially cherished are the black and white truffles, as well as king boletes. All of these ingredients will allow your expert chef to create bespoke menus, that will capture the very essence of a holiday in Croatia, but still retain the exclusivity of a Michelin-level meal.

For example, you can start your lunch aboard BINA yacht charter with an avocado, crisp Croatian prosciutto, croutons and romaine lettuce salad. Follow up with a lobster and salmon terrine with snow crab and keta caviar, with grilled polenta. And for dessert, steamed chocolate and walnut cake with caramel sauce.

YACHT MAIN DECK

The sharpness of the bow and the robustness of the stern signals to charter guests that BINA yacht charter is able to provide a good time on the water, as well as reach above-average cruising speeds, which is a good thing if you want to see as much as Croatia as possible on your holiday.

Her naval architecture finds just the right balance between practicality and beauty, and this is among the best feature of BINA yacht charter. When guests first climb aboard, they will want to start the tour from the main deck aft, after reaching this spot by climbing up the beach club stairway or by boarding this vessel by using the side deck entrance.

Either way, the first thing guests will encounter will be a quaint lounging arrangement, made out of a stern bench and two armchairs, encircling an elongated coffee table. This location is envisioned as a spot that provides passage to guests coming and going to the beach club and swimming platform, and where they can sit and enjoy a refreshing cocktail. One staircase to port and one to starboard both provide easy access to the upper deck, with the glass sliding door revealing the air-conditioned interior salon.

Yacht charter accommodation: main salon & dining area

The décor is a modern interpretation of a colonial beach club, where white sleek surfaces meet rugged wooden curvatures and white matte furniture. There are many different textures in the interior, contributing to the way the light reflects against the colours and the surfaces of the interior. This “layered” approach to natural lighting actually enhances the illumination of all interior spaces, as well as accentuates the brightness of sunlight coming in through huge windows, regardless of what deck you are observing this phenomenon from.

The layout of the main deck interior salon aboard BINA yacht charter starts with a long lounge and relaxation area, tucked against the portside wall and consisting of two separate 3-person sofas, armchairs and a horizontal bench at the ending, forming a large L-shape.

Opposite this divine area is the bar to port, which complements the primary purpose of this space, and that is to serve drinks to guests who sit down to have a chat with other members of the charter party.

It is impossible to describe the atmosphere of the salon – you have to experience it firsthand. The primarily white décor is accentuated by natural light, which increases the overall brightness in the interior tenfold.

Continuing forward from the bar, there is a compact games table, also to starboard, before guests reach the dining part of the main deck interior. This is marked by a large oval dining table, decorated with tasteful minimalism and with maximum intent of harmonious overlap with the turquoise sea outside, thanks to extra-large windows.

From the dining area, it is only several steps until reaching the interior main foyer, which connects the main deck with its upper and lower deck counterparts. There is also a gym on this deck, located on the starboard side, right next to the practical day head. This arrangement allows guests to plan their workout routine around being able to step onto the starboard side deck in between reps.

Between the foyer, the gym and the day head is the corridor leading into the main deck master suite.

Yacht charter accommodation: main deck master suite

The foyer leading into the master actually doubles as a walk-in/ walk-out closet and a foyer, with a compact sofa providing options for holding a private fashion show with your charter party, where guests can swap clothing combinations with ease and in style.

Moving forward, guests arrive at the absolutely stunning full-beam main deck master suite.

The massive amount of free space adds to the overall feeling of freedom and lightness, highlighted by the fact that the master stays illuminated with sunlight throughout the day, thanks to huge windows on both sides.

White as a base colour absolutely dominates the décor of the master suite, adding weight to the notion of superyachts being synonymous with spotless cleanliness. The king-size berth is placed right in the centerline of the entire yacht, making sleep sound and stable, regardless of whether BINA yacht charter is underway or at anchor.

It is also important to note the unbelievable size of the ensuite in the main deck master, as well as its white marble decor. It can easily be divided into two parts, with two separate heads, bidets, sinks, a massive shower cabin and an ergonomic tub. This ensuite has massive potential for a bespoke wellness experience, with rose petals, champagne, chocolate, caviar and anything else that could turn an ensuite into your private steamy paradise.

YACHT UPPER DECK

Guests arrive at the upper deck aft by using the staircase connecting the main deck with the upper deck. Once here, they can relax in another alfresco lounge setting, consisting of several armchairs and sofas, but arranged in a way that allows for unobstructed views of the panorama, viewed from the stern.

Also, this setup allows for guests to communicate freely between decks, leaning against the polished stainless-steel handrails and exchanging plans for riding the water toys or going to town in the evening.

A little forward from this lounge arrangement and guests come in contact with the only alfresco dining option aboard BINA yacht charter, in form of an oval table that can sit all the guests aboard this yacht in total luxury. Also, because the side decks on the upper deck are walk-around, it is possible to reach a small and charming nook, right in front of the helm station windshield, towards the bow of the upper deck.

This area is made out of a small circular table and a circular sofa, enabling guests to quietly and privately drink their coffee or tea in the morning, while the sun is still rising and when you can still feel the freshness of the sea breezes, which will only get warmer, as the summer day progresses.

When it gets too hot on the upper deck, guests are invited to step into the upper deck sky lounge and experience an atmosphere resembling a private club, with accompanying high-tech amenities and 5-star service, thanks to your expert charter crew.

Yacht charter accommodation: sky lounge

The sky lounge is an area intended primarily as a spot where charter guests will be able to enjoy each other`s company, while sampling exotic beverages, hand-made cocktails and sushi snacks.

There is also a possibility of watching movies, and shows or playing games on the gaming console or using one of many board games in BINA`s rich library. Upon entering, guests can notice hip-high cabinetry on the portside, which also hides the pop-up TV, ideally positioned to provide excellent viewing angles from the starboard sitting area.

This consists of a white sofa with brightly-coloured decorative pillows, and other sources of small, but bright and vivid colours, to give a subtle contrast to the white colours that cover more than 80% of the entire sky lounge.

Guests can observe that the same principle that holds value in the main deck salon are also used in the upper deck sky lounge. That is, white entirely dominates as a colour, with nearly every surface covered in some tone of white.

Finally, the fully-stocked bar to port will serve as yet another station for refilling drinks or trying new and exciting cocktail recipes, made with love by your attentive crew. The sky lounge aboard BINA yacht charter can be utilized in many different ways; you can ask your crew to host a themed dinner party or wine and whiskey tasting course.

Or, since you are in Croatia, you may want to sample some delicious local delicacies, like prosciutto, Pag cheese and excellent olive oil, served with bread made by following traditional Croatian recipes.

Moving forward, there are no more guest amenities on the upper deck, except the bunk twin cabin, located on the starboard side of the upper deck foyer, connecting the sky lounge with the interior helm station.

YACHT SUNDECK

Once guests get familiar with most of the wonderful amenities and comfortable furnishings aboard BINA yacht charter, it is time for the coup de grace, in the form of a breath-taking sundeck.

The pure extravagance of this sundeck is enough to exceed the expectations of all guests, which is partly due to the way that the deck is designed and built. When taking into account the naval architecture of the sundeck, the engineers of BINA yacht charter had in mind to provide as much panoramic visibility as possible, so guests could enjoy vistas from both the stern and the bow sides.

To arrive on BINA`s sundeck, guests use the portside staircase; climbing up, one can notice that there is a compact circular table with chairs, all smartly placed right next to the BBQ station. Thus, the entire stern area is designed as a way for guests to enjoy a show-cooking presentation by your Michelin-level chef, who will be delighted to display some BBQing secrets.

You can also compete between members of your charter party, to see who can prepare the best lobster tail or a juice Croatian steak. Moving next to the port-placed wet bar and between movable sun loungers, guests finally arrive at the sundeck jacuzzi on BINA yacht charter.

The bow-placed jacuzzi is padded on all sides in a circular way, so guests can stretch and sunbathe all around the center, with the ability to literally roll in and out of the jacuzzi, and because the sun pads are extra-soft and comfortable, rarely do guests want to get up from these comfortable positions, once they assume their preferred spot. Also, the crew will always keep an eye out for guests relaxing around the jacuzzi and constantly supply them with a steady stream of a

YACHT LOWER DECK

The lower deck aboard BINA yacht charter contains much of the guests’ accommodations on this yacht. To be more specific, 2 double cabins (one of which is a full-beam VIP stateroom) and 2 twin cabins.

Yacht charter accommodation: VIP stateroom

The full-beam VIP uses the same amount of white as in the rest of BINA yacht charter, but with bright-yellow details, which instantly lift the atmosphere in the stateroom. This is mostly due to illumination done by daylight, thanks to wide portholes, which also have the ability to open and let in a steady stream of fresh sea breezes, alongside sunlight.

There is also a walk-in closet, spacious enough to store all of your vacation attire, which your attentive stewardesses can unpack for you. The faux canopy berth is placed in more to the portside of the stateroom, ensuring that guests can use the portside part of the stateroom for relaxing in a stylish nook made out of white wooden cabinetry

When it comes to hygiene, the spacious ensuite has a lot of wellness potential, copying some features from the main deck master suite.

Yacht charter accommodation: double cabin

One of the key differences between the VIP stateroom and the double stateroom is that the VIP has wide portholes on both port and starboard walls, while the double has only access to port-placed portholes.

Also, there is a small lounge area to port, with portholes that provide plenty of daylight to guests who want to read a book or just rest after a magnificent Michelin-level lunch, before going out to enjoy water toys or explore a close-by Croatian island.

A queen-sized berth has nightstands on his and hers sides, as well as smart cabinetry in front of the berth. In one of the cabinets is a pop-up TV, with the ability to stream all of your favourite movies and shows.

There is also a walk-in closet, although more compact than in the VIP stateroom. The ensuite has a tub, alongside a shower cabin, a head, a bidet and double sinks, with the tub having options of whirlpool massages and similar gadgetry.

Yacht charter accommodation: twin cabin

The twin cabins aboard BINA yacht charter are mirror images of one another, with the major difference being not in the layout, but in the choices of colours regarding sheets on the berths and other similar details and accessories. One of the cabins uses salmon pink together with white as the main décor theme, while the other uses baby blue.

Both of the twins have wide portholes as sources of natural light, alongside smartly integrated LED lighting. A single nightstand divides the berths, with a mirror behind it, which creates a sense of depth. The ensuite is very spacious, considering the layout of the twin cabins, with everything a charter guest would need on their holiday.

Also, both the twin cabins have pullman berths smartly hidden in the walls opposite the portholes, further improving the versatility of sleeping choices for guests choosing their onboard accommodations.

YACHT BEACH CLUB & SWIMMING PLATFORM

BINA yacht charter is designed to provide her guests unobstructed access to the sea, thanks to her multi-functional beach club and wide swimming platform. Enjoy the functionality of riding and changing different water toys with ease, while your charter crew serves drinks on demand. There is enough room on the swimming platform to fit several guests at once, as well as crew members who will act as water sports instructors and safety supervisors.

If you are with family, the stainless steel railings will make sure no one falls in the water by accident, while the swimming ladders enable easy access to and from the sea. Also, the freshwater shower, smartly hidden in the architecture, will enable guests to rinse salt after a good swim, without the need of going to their cabin to do so.

The beach club is spacious and can be used to set up a private bar near the edge of the water, with movable chairs and coffee tables. More extravagant options can also be arranged, like hiring a massage therapist who will help you relax and let go off accumulated stress in your body, as you enjoy a deep tissue massage with the sound of the Adriatic waves in the background.

YACHT WATER TOYS & WATER SPORTS

BINA yacht charter has a nearly endless amount of water toys, for action-packed experiences and thrilling rides on the water.

Her avid list starts with a 10 meter (32ft) Intrepid Tender, which can be used for full-day trips, seeing that the tender is equipped with swimming ladders, a toilet, comfortable seating g for guests, a cooler and a Bluetooth stereo system, on which you can enjoy the tunes best fit for an extravagant visit to one of Croatia`s National Parks or some of the most beautiful fortified coastal cities across the indented Croatian coastline.

This awesome tender can also be used to tow an army of inflatable toys, like the banana or the donut, but also an assorted choice of different water skis and wakeboards.
Depending on your predispositions towards being pulled by the tender while skiing or wakeboarding, the crew can act as instructors, because they are all proficient when it comes to experience with BINA`s water toys.

You can also learn by yourself and acquire a new skill while on holiday.

When it comes to jet skis, BINA yacht charter offers an unusual combination: one 3-person jet ski and another single jet ski, designed to be driven while standing up. Both of these Yamaha jet skis offer different approaches to swiftly traversing the water, but are equally safe and enjoyable to ride.

A pair of Sea bobs will allow more mellow guests to experience what it is like to swim like a fish for a couple of hours. Dive and swim underwater with ease, as you use BINA`s snorkelling equipment for agility and breathing. Use the Sea bob for buoyance or for underwater exploring, whatever is more relatable.

If you are on a family charter holiday in Croatia, the first thing that the kids ask when stepping on a yacht is: Does it have a slide? The answer is certainly Yes, in the case of BINA yacht charter. This is also good news for the parents, because while the kids are busy playing with the slide, they can relax in the alfresco lounge on the upper deck, keeping an eye out for their children, but also enjoy a well-deserved respite from being a parent.

Your competent charter crew will also be available for assistance, assuring the safety and well-being of your kids. For guests looking for something different, a fly board will deliver a completely new feeling of moving on water. Thanks to its underwater wings, the fly board uses the hydromechanics of fluid lift, to generate a sensation while moving forward.

If you have not already, give the fly board a try and be amazed at what a combination of modern technology and physics can accomplish. When it all becomes too much, use the stand-up paddleboards to paddle away from BINA yacht charter and find solitude in a nearby private cove or a small bay. Every part of the indented Croatian coastline is easily accessible to SUPs, and they are very easy to learn and handle.

Finally, for land-based adventures, 2 Segways are also to be found in BINA`s yacht charter treasure chest. These practical solutions to personal mobility will come in handy when guests will want to explore a specific port town in Croatia, without resorting to walking or hiring a taxi.

In 2007, she joined her first yacht and has been working in the industry ever since. Over the years, she has been perfecting her skills to provide guests with the most unforgettable experiences while on board.

Stewardess
Jamie Davies

Jamie has been on board since the summer season of 2019. She comes from the coastal town of Mangawhai on the northeastern tip of Aotearoa, New Zealand. In her free time, Jamie enjoys spending time fishing and gathering Kaimoana (seafood) from her native waters, and loves the natural beauty of the land, where she likes to hike and explore. She has a vested interest in New Zealand’s unique ecology and conservation, and has travelled to America in the past to share this interest.

Second Stewardess
Mary-Jean Usisa

Mary-Jean is from the Philippines. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry for seven years as a medical representative. Her wanderlust brought her to join the yachting industry and has now been working on private and charter motor yachts for over 14 years. She has a great sense of humor and always has a smile on her face. She enjoys helping Joost in the galley, eating fresh seafood and drinking cognac.

He joined M/Y BINA, his 4th yacht as chief engineer, in March 2014. When he is not working, he enjoys spending as much time as possible on his small fishing boat, enjoying the waters of Plymouth and Devon, or doing various DIY mechanical projects.

Deckhand
Aidan Leclercq

Aidan is from a small town called Alberton, which is just outside of Johannesburg, South Africa. This will be his second summer season onboard M/Y BINA. Aidan has his Yachtmaster Offshore and has enjoyed working on various boats for the past three years, including 100-year-old sailing vessels, and has recently completed his AEC certification. Before yachting, Aidan played tennis to high level in South Africa.
