Krk is connected with a freeway, directly to the main city of Zagreb, from which you need less than 2 hours of driving. Also, there is an airport on the island, so charter guests who decide to come with a plane, can arrive directly at location.
When cruising around Krk with your yacht, let captain Roberto suggest three best places on Krk island.

1. Yacht captain advice: Prniba peninsula

Heed your yacht captain advice and enjoy the stretch of coastline known as the Prniba peninsula, a place of utmost relaxation and serenity. The peninsula is located only 5 minutes of cruising from the town of Krk or 10 minutes from ACI Marina Punat, the biggest marina on the island.

The peninsula was used by the Romans in ancient times as an amphitheatre and an arena, but today it is a collection of beautifully-indented coves and bays. With several fireplaces and designated grilling stations, you can expect your crew to prepare tasty BBQ dishes cooked over a live fire, while you have fun with KLOBUK`s water toys in the surrounding waters. An interesting tradition of the peninsula is that the people build their own little spots on the beach from rock and wood.

These one-day beach huts are scattered all around the coast of the peninsula and are a charming sight to behold. If you decide to take a stroll on the coastline, you will feel like you are in a small stone village, but where people come to enjoy the sea, the sun and the shade.

Because of thick pine trees, shade is plentiful, as well are fallen pine needles, that create a soft natural carpet on the ground.  The whole peninsula has a strong scent of pine, fig and olive, which fills the surrounding air with fantastic aromas. You can anchor the KLOBUK yacht charter in one of the coves and spend a quiet and calm night on anchor.

2. Yacht captain advice: Košljun

You can ask your captain to anchor the KLOBUK yacht charter near the small island of Košljun, located in the Punat bay. This picturesque islet is a home of a Franciscan monastery from the 13th century, still in use today for its primary purpose. Home to a dozen monks, it is also a museum of theology with an interesting twist. It houses a collection of peculiar exhibits regarding nature and specimens that are seen as freakish. Rare and abnormal specimens of plants and animals are preserved for biology enthusiasts and all those who have a strong stomach.

Outside the monastery, you can take a walk in the charming and quaint garden that the monks built over the centuries. It resembles a maze, with narrow dirt pathways and occasional benches with sculptures of saints and miracles. Košljun`s shore is mostly rocky and is not a very good place to take a swim, because of the bay and the thickness of maritime traffic during the day. Nevertheless, this does not stop you from marvelling at KLOBUK, anchored in the vicinity.

3. Yacht captain advice: Veli Vrh top

Let your dedicated crew organise a day trip that will take you to the highest point of Krk island, the Veli Vrh top. The best thing is that you do not need to climb most of the way up, because there are neat dirt roads, which can be easily traversed by buggies, dirt bikes, quads or e-bikes. Your crew will take care of all the arrangements, you just need to tell them which vehicle you prefer.

As you start to ascend, you will notice a subtle shift in foliage. The more you climb up, the more barren it gets. Once you get off the road, 10 minutes of light trekking is needed to reach the top, which offers simply breathtaking views. To the north, is the township of Rijeka, a major port of trade and traffic in the Northern Adriatic Sea. Behind it, the highest point in Croatia, Učka mountain, measuring 1848 meters. Following the coastline from Učka all the way southwards, the mighty Velebit mountain fills the landscape with its beauty.

Velebit is home to several National parks and parks of nature, your future possible charter day trip destinations. To the west, Punat bay and the ACI Marina Punat, alongside the small Prniba peninsula and the city of Krk, are just visible in the distance.

Best of all, you can enjoy the view of your KLOBUK charter yacht from a distance, with the help of nautical binoculars provided by your expert crew. Some locals even say that on very clear days you can see all the way across the Adriatic and barely resemble Italy`s shores. Nevertheless, soak up the view while your crew arrives a little after you. The reason is not that they are lazy or slow, but because they carried all the things necessary for an enjoyable picnic set around a fantastic panorama.

The islands that make up the surrounding archipelago around Krk, that is Cres, Rab and Plavnik, create a wonderful spectacle of colours and sights, particularly when the sun begins to set. As you finish the last bites of a wonderfully prepared summer picnic, be amazed at the view of a fantastic sunset, with a colour palette that is present only in the Mediterranean. Let the setting sun escort you down from the peak, as you slowly return to your anchored superyacht.
