You can decide on how many things you will take with you when you consider the number of days, the size of the yacht, the number of cabins and the size of closets and storage. In addition, if you forget something, do not worry, almost every port has lovely stores where you can buy everything you need for an astonishing experience on a yacht charter in Croatia.

Essential for a yacht charter trip – Documents

A smart packing list for what to pack for a yacht charter in Croatia might save you from a headache. The most essential thing, in my opinion, is to begin with the “most boring, but also the most important” item – documents.

In addition to your identity document, whether it is a person’s ID or a passport, bring a health insurance card or travel insurance documents, as well as a skipper’s license if you have one, and a driver’s license if you plan to rent a car on one of the islands.

Furthermore, I recommend that you take credit and debit cards, as well as some cash, and keep all of the above in a waterproof bag so that you don’t have to worry about your papers and money getting wet.

Non-Slip Socks or Soft Rubber Shoes

Depending on how you plan on spending your vacation, by exploring Croatian mountains or walking through historic cities, keep one thing in mind – heels are forbidden on the yacht!

Most of our guests are usually barefoot because the entire yacht is either covered with a soft carpet or has floor heating in the bathrooms. If you do not like to walk barefoot, it is best to bring non-slip socks or shoes with a soft, rubber, anti-slip sole, which will protect your toes and will not leave marks on the teak wood.

Beachwear & other Summer clothes

The rule for beachwear is – bring as much as you can! Swimsuits, beach dresses, cover-ups, hats, and sunglasses are all welcome holiday accessorizes on a yacht charter, as they are 90% of the items you will wear while on your vacation in Croatia.

The more or less golden guideline of “pack lightly” applies to the rest. Most of the time, you’ll be in a swimming suit or T-shirt and shorts anyway, but you should always keep some finer clothes on hand for Michelin-starred restaurants or romantic evenings. Furthermore, plan ahead of time because then if you want to work out, pack exercise clothing, and if you’re going to a wedding, bring appropriate clothes. It all depends on how you plan on spending your vacation!

If you want to bring your own beach towel – it is not necessary because the yacht comes equipped with unlimited towels. Furthermore, your crew will supply you with sun creams, lotions and everything you will need for your skin protection.

What to pack for a yacht charter in Croatia

While chartering a yacht in Croatia during the summer, you will spend most of your time in a bathing suit or shirt anyway. This time of the year is perfect for those who want to swim the whole day and enjoy pleasant nights while sipping their favourite champagne on the main deck aft.

For those coming in spring and autumn, I recommend taking some extra jackets because nights may be a little chilly but perfect for a good night’s sleep and long evening conversations.
